The world's only burlesque museum! Open Tues-Sat 10-6 & Sun 12-4

Art at BHoF! Kelly Brownlee’s “Burlesque Pop-Out” comes to BHoF this November

Nani Poonani by Kelly BrownleeWe are incredibly proud to present “Burlesque Pop-Out”, an exhibition of artwork by Seattle artist Kelly Brownlee. “Burlesque Pop-Out” features cut paper dioramas depicting international burlesque performers, each in a style and flavor unique to its subject. Along with contemporary neo-burlesque performers including Jamie Von Stratton, The Shanghai Pearl, and the members of Olympia’s Own TUSH! burlesque company, the show will feature portraits of burlesque legends including Dixie Evans and Barbara Yung.

Best known for her love of wordplay and depictions of  life’s sweet morsels and the sparkly world of burlesque, international freelance illustrator Kelly Brownlee has produced art shows in Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. She lives in Seattle with her daughter and their cat Gigi.  For more information about Kelly Brownlee and her work, please visit her website at http://www.kellyportfolio.com

“Burlesque Pop-Out” will be held in the Emergency Arts common area, just down the hall from the Burlesque Hall of Fame’s main exhibition space, from November 1 through November 24. The exhibition is a benefit for the Burlesque Hall of Fame, with half the proceeds of all sales supporting the museum’s work to preserve and display the legacy of burlesque. An opening reception will be held during November’s First Friday, November 1st, 6-9pm.

Dear Ladies, thank you for this wonderful website/Hall of Fame. I have always loved burlesque! Recently moved here and can’t wait to visit your offerings. Looking forward to the “Titans of Tease”. Is there a discount available on tickets for disabled or locals, for the Hall of Fame and this event? Thank you for your time. Myriam

Welcome to Las Vegas, Myriam! There is no admission for the museum (though we ask for a suggested donation) so you can make your own discount 🙂 The Weekender will be held at THe Orleans, June 5-8; the only discounts available are for performers and museum members. Hope to see you soon!
