Remember BHoF During this Season of Giving

The Burlesque Hall of Fame has over 5,000 pieces in our collection. 5,000 costumes, stage props, photos, posters, and personal effects from the lives and careers of Gypsy Rose Lee, Lottie the Body, Lili St. Cyr, Blaze Starr, Novita, Tempest Storm, Rose La Rose, and hundreds of other performers. Best of all, 5,000 pieces in our collection means 5,000 stories to tell.

Telling those stories is what we do, and we love doing it. Building exhibitions, posting images, answering questions for researchers, and preserving these unique treasures for posterity help us share not just a unique and wonderful art form with the world but, we hope, to impact the world in a meaningful way. The stories we tell are stories of personal independence, freedom from gender restrictions, financial success, fabulousness at all sizes, shapes, and skin colors, and so much more.

We want your help to keep telling these stories. By supporting BHoF as a donor or member, you sustain us and our work directly. Your contribution helps pay for archival supplies, framing, research, equipment, the talent and expertise of our staff that puts it all together, and the physical space where we do it all. The day-to-day support of BHoF by people who are passionate about what we do and the stories we tell is what keeps BHoF going.

Since 2012, the world has celebrated the first Tuesday in December as #GivingTuesday, a global kickoff for the charitable season. Be part of this worldwide display of generosity. Donate at burlesquehall.com/donate and share that link far and wide. Or become a member at burlesquehall.com/member. Tell your friends and family why you support BHoF and ask them to support as well. Your support helps us, day after day and year after year, to make BHoF a museum worthy of the stories we tell.
